TEXAS STATE CONTRACT AWARD: WesTex Document, Inc. was recently awarded Managed Term contract 962-M4 for Records Storage, as established by the Texas Procurement and Support Services Division (TPASS) of the state Comptroller’s office .  Call for a copy of the Bid Booklet for details and pricing.

How good is your storage environment? How fast is your collection deteriorating? Will your current storage conditions encourage mold growth?

Preservation Calculator is a planning and analysis tool for collection storage environments in libraries, archives, and museums. Use it to:

bulletlearn how temperature and RH affect organic objects in storage
bulletevaluate a given storage condition
bulletcompare one storage condition to another
bulletplan new storage conditions

Organic materials (carbon-containing substances such as plastics, dyes, paper, plants, and animal products) make up a large proportion of cultural property collections. Preservation Calculator shows how temperature and humidity combine to influence the rate of decay of organic objects. It is concerned with two forms of decay: natural aging (caused by spontaneous chemical change within the material) and mold damage. DOWNLOAD the self-extracting tool to your desk top (Windows only).

The Power of Information at Your Fingertips!

It’s big.  Really big.  It’s the huge potential the Internet holds for your business. An automated, web-based management tool that will give you real-time access to your off-site records; an easier way to retrieve your files and eliminate phone calls, faxes and emails; a powerful and convenient way to manage your own records as well as place orders; and gain control over your business information, even though it’s stored off-site at our facility.

We have harnessed the power of the Internet and Microsoft®’s latest .NET technology so that we can make our record center a true extension of your operations.  As part of our complete suite of fully integrated software, RSWeb.NET provides you with fast, flexible and immediate access and control over your records right when you need it, a mouse click away!

A modern, stable and robust solution, you now have easy and enhanced access to our record center’s RS-SQL database and can perform many tasks yourself, eliminating unnecessary emails, faxes and telephone calls to our facility. No longer does our Customer Service Rep have to re-key your order or look up information, as the power is now in your hands through a standard web browser, anytime, day or night, from anywhere in the world.

Maintaining all the capabilities of O’Neil’s previous RSWeb module, RSWeb.NET is a more flexible, user-friendly and powerful model for doing business with you.  With customizable data entry screens, instant reporting and even more powerful queries are at your fingertips, you will have greater access and control of your records than ever before.

Quickly and easily query our database; order services and supplies; schedule pickups and deliveries; add new or existing inventory information; generate reports; even monitor the status of your records—all from your desk, saving time, eliminating costly errors and enabling greater productivity.  Right from the home page, the look is user-friendly and the “Getting Started” section provides a quick and easy intro to using RSWeb.NET.

One of our local competitors conducts shredding alongside storage operations. You simply do not want your records stored alongside their shredding operations. Shredders can create a great flash fire risk and never should be conducted in the same area as stored customer records according to PRISM (Professional Records and Information Services Management Association). Shredding also creates lots of paper dust that will get into your files. Stacked baled paper may smolder for hours before you realize they contain a fire and they too should be kept separate from stored records, preferably with fire wall separation.

This is simply one example of why this company puts your stored records at risk, even if they've been in business for 20 years and offers the lowest price - you get what you pay for folks.

DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE AND FOLLOW UP PERIODICALLY!

We can store your records for you. Stored in our secure facility, long-term or short, your boxes will be kept until you need them back or they have reached the end of their retention period.

Store your records with a company that has completed background and credit checks on their employees, has achieved the highest recognition available in the document destruction industry. All of our current customers trust us with the destruction of their confidential records. That same trust is extended to the storage of their records. A new customer recently paid over $12,000 in hostage fees to get their records out of a competitor's facility so we could pick them up and move them over to ours.

Pricing is based on the size of the item and term for storage. Plain and simple, no more wondering is it 1.1 or 1.2 cubic feet. There is a slight fee for picking the records up and storing them, if you prefer, just bring them to us.
